American Legion Post 179 is very active in our community. Our Events Calendar will always have the latest updates on our scheduled activities. Below are some of the recurring events to look forward to each year. All events are open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Four Chaplains Remembrance Ceremony |
Post Chaplain | February 3 | Moving remembrance to honor four military chaplains who sacrificed their own lives to save the lives of their fellow service members during WWII. Light refreshments are served following the ceremony at the Post. | Feb 2024 |

Fasching | Post ALR | February | German Mardi Gras celebration at the Post with Masskrugstemmen (beer stein holding) contests, raffle, silent auction, German food, music, and lots of fun. This event raises funds for AL programs and donations to community organizations. | Feb 2024 |
